Author Bio
Who am I?
A 70's product who lives in Southern California with her supportive and amazing chef of a husband, three entertaining and very bright children, and a suitcase of stories begging to be finished.
Why should I read Intent?
Because you will get to meet some amazing characters who you will identify with, characters who will worry you, characters who you will cry for, and characters who you will want to run from. And as you take this journey with Raylee, you will also learn what it means to trust in someone, to lose faith in someone, and to overcome adversity.
When did you first start writing stories?
I began writing songs and plays at the age of seven and graduated to short story writing during my high school years.
What kind of books do you like to read?
My favorite book is the Bible. In terms of fiction, Dean Koontz is my all time favorite author. I like thrillers as well as classics like Dracula, Invisible Man, and 1984.
What tips would you give for writing a novel?
Go with an idea that you see happening from start to finish. It's the middle--how we will get from point A to point B--that can be the most challenging area of writing. But once you have the framework in place and you start to create those characters, your creative mind follows. Make a storyline that is relatable and emotionally tangible through characters who crackle and are empathetically accessible.
