Real Life Suspense

It lingers in the shadows. It hides behind the subconscious, seeking a foothold. The rain comes down rapidly and we succumb to it out of fear. What is "it" that so compels us to follow? It is despair. But there,too, is another "it" and it contains mystery, wonderment, life shrouded in opportunity and the promise of abundance, if only we will accept it.

"It" is hope.

We can submit to darkness and remain enclosed in brokenness and give ourselves to the tension of terror. Or. . .we can choose to walk into light, suspended by the excitement and certainty that follows.
